Job Vacancy in Nepal Tourism Board ● Chief Executive Officer CEO

Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), formed in accordance with Nepal Tourism Board Act, 2053 BS and Nepal Tourism Board Regulation 2055 BS as an autonomous National Tourism Organization of Nepal, seeks applications from qualified candidates for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).The candidates who have been already short-listed for the same post as per the first advertisement dated September 19, 2011 will remain as shortlisted if they express their interest within the time as mentioned below.

A. Major Duties and Responsibilities of the position.

  • Develop and execute NTB's short and long term plans
  • Formulate and execute annual operational plan of NTB
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies for effective promotion of Nepalese tourism
  • Liaise with various government agencies
  • Develop joint working relationship and networks with various national and international developmental agencies, tourism related private sectors, tourism organizations and professionals, diplomatic agencies, media and other related stakeholders
  • Carry out overall administrative and financial responsibilities governed by the NTB Act, 2053, its subsequent Rules and Regulations, By-laws and other prevailing Laws of Nepal
  • Other responsibilities as and when entrusted by the Executive Committee of NTB

B. Eligibility:

  • At least Master's Degree in any discipline with minimum ten years of work experience in tourism
  • Nepali Citizen

C. Other Qualifications, Skills, Experiences and Conditions:

  • Proficiency in both English and Nepali language, knowledge of other languages shall be an advantage
  • Operational Skills of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs)
  • Dynamic and competent
  • Having good leadership quality,managerial skills, high morale, good public relation and interpersonal skills
  • The term of contract of this position shall be for four years from the date of appointment
  • Candidate with sound knowledge of management, work experience of executive position  and  related trainingsshall have added advantage
